Dori Howland , M.S, OTR/L
Dori has been passionate about being a pediatric OT since she was in high school. She completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology then went on to get her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Dori has worked with children with various needs and abilities, using a family centered approach to providing occupational therapy. Dori has worked as an OT in the Caribbean, in Canada and now here in Bellevue! Through these experiences she has gained a lot of knowledge about the role of OT in different countries and different cultures.
Dori continues to be passionate about the role as a pediatric OT! Her favorite part about this job is getting to work with amazing and fun children and families to help enable these kiddos to participate in what is important to them as a family! This includes using a fun play-based approach with consistent boundaries and expectations that allow children to best engage in their meaningful activities. Currently, Dori loves the ability to work with children in various types of OT including one-to-one in clinic session, climbing therapy session, and group environments!
